Sport Life became a partner of 5th Kharkiv International Marathon

On April 29 the 5th International Marathon took place in Kharkiv.

More than 10 thousand people, the representatives of 25 countries — Germany, Poland, Japan, China, Kenya, Australia, USA and others participated in this sporting event. Also many sportsmen from different cites of Ukraine came to the marathon.

The racing fans and professionals ran 4.2 km, 10 km, 42 km distances, and team relay races — 2х21.1 km and 4х10.55 km. The runner from Kenya Serem Benjamin Kiprop became the winner of the 5th Kharkiv International Marathon setting the track record. Namely, he run 42 km 195 m distance in 2 hours 18 minutes and 13 seconds, in other words, nearly 5 minutes faster than the previous track record that was 2 hours 23 minutes and 1 second.

Kharkiv International Marathon is an annual competition that entered into the Book of Records of Ukraine in 2014 as the largest race by the number of registered participants. The marathon track runs across the central streets of the first capital of Ukraine, covering the main sights of the city, and start and finish are located in the very heart of Kharkiv, at the one of the largest squares of Europe — Svobody square.
